Convert an entire recipe between US, UK and metric, scale the batch in one tap, and never mix up a US cup with a metric cup again.
Cooking measures are a minefield across regions — cups, pints and tablespoons all differ between the US, UK and metric systems. Recipe Mode converts and scales a whole recipe at once and flags those pitfalls. Here's how.
From the sidebar choose Recipe. Give the recipe a name (e.g. Buttermilk pancakes) and optionally your name. Recipe Mode is built for cooking measures specifically, so it understands the difference between US, UK and metric units.

Pick Convert to — US, UK or Metric — and a batch scale (½×, 1×, 1.5×, 2×, 3×) to multiply every amount at once. A built-in notice reminds you that a US cup is 237 mL, a metric cup 250 mL, and a UK pint is ~20% larger than a US pint — the pitfalls Recipe Mode handles for you.
Add each ingredient with an amount and unit. The Converted column instantly shows the equivalent in your chosen system — so 1.5 Cup (US) flour becomes 354.882 mL, scaled and converted together.

Use Save to keep the recipe in your workspace, or Share to send the fully converted, scaled version to someone else. Switch systems any time and everything re-renders.
Cooking a US recipe in a metric kitchen. Sam finds a buttermilk-pancake recipe written in US cups but only has metric measuring tools. In Recipe Mode he sets Convert to → Metric, keeps the batch at 1×, and enters the ingredients. 1.5 cups of flour instantly reads 354.882 mL, 1.25 cups milk → 295.735 mL, and so on — every amount recalculated for metric. He taps Share to send the converted version to his partner.
Doubling a recipe for guests? Set the batch scale to 2× before reading the converted column — it scales and converts in one step.
